Canada should take in more refugees, says Tima Kurdi, the aunt of three-year-old Syrian refugee Alan Kurdi who died with his brother and mother while fleeing to Greece in 2015.
"It drives me crazy because I would have loved to have them in my own house," says one Boston resident, who has raised money and found Canadians to sponsor a Syrian refugee.
"I hope this book will inspire people and bring all of us together, making us stronger, with love, compassion and hope for a brighter future," Tima Kurdi said in a statement.
2015 saw an unprecedented exodus of Syrians, not just out of their home country, but out of the countries nearby where an estimated four million refugees have sought refuge from Syria's civil war.
