Anil (Andy) Hira is a professor of political science at Simon Fraser University and the director of the Clean Energy Research Group. His work is focused on global development and political economy, including promoting community development projects around renewable energy. His most recent books include: The Great Disruption: Understanding the Populist Forces Behind Trump, Brexit, and LePen, and The Failure of Financial Regulation: Why A Major Crisis Could Happen Again.
