Max Whiteman is a UBC journalism student and intern at Canada's National Observer. His reporting focuses on environmental issues, specifically related to human impacts, sense-making, and counter-action. 

Besides reporting, Max enjoys writing stories, sitting in the sun, and people watching. He also loves cycling and playing football (soccer) - this, too, is preferred in the sun.
