Abigail Herd is a 4th-year Simon Fraser University (SFU) student and divestment/reinvestment organizer with SFU350, a climate justice club situated on the unceded territories of the səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations (SFU Burnaby).

Herd is also a research assistant with SFU's department of geography and is exploring the political and economic drivers of caribou extinction in British Columbia. When not studying, organizing or working, she enjoys hiking, reading, painting and learning new dances!
