Originally from Barrie, Sawyer is in her fourth year at Ryerson University. With a literary name, it is no wonder her ever-growing collection of books can be found taking over every surface in her apartment. Sawyer has been working as an intern in the Global News investigative reporting department since June. For the past two years, she has worked as a reporter and then host for Ryerson community radio station. Sawyer has worked on coving stories from the lack of affordable daycare in Toronto, homelessness, and now the effect of the petrol chemical industry in Sarnia.
