About Richard van der Jagt

Richard is a retired hematologist /oncologist with a long-standing interest in the links between an adverse environment and exposure to environmental toxins and adverse health outcomes. He is adjunct prof of medicine at U of Ottawa. He founded and chaired the Canadian Leukemia Studies Group ( a collaborative group of 22 centers located in Canada and the US, funded by the Canadian Institute for Health Research) and which performed Canada’s largest randomized trial on treatment of acute myeloid leukemia) He has published widely, the most recent being in CMOS ( https://bulletin.cmos.ca/a-way-forward-on-the-climate-crisis/ ) . He is active in the Canadian Club of Rome.
